HOW DO I UPLOAD TO THE NEW FTP?
Once you are signed in to the new FTP window, simply drag and drop, or copy and paste files into their appropriate folders.


HOW DO I DOWNLOAD FROM THE NEW FTP?
When you locate the file or files you would like to download, either drag and drop or copy and paste them into a folder on your computer hard drive.


HOW DO I CREATE A FOLDER?
To Create a new folder on the FTP system, simply right-click, select 'New' then 'Folder'. Or click 'File' at the top, then select ‘New’, then 'Folder'. Once the new folder appears, you can give it a name.


HOW DO I RENAME A FILE OR FOLDER?
Locate the file you want to rename and right-click on it.  Choose rename. 


HOW DO I DELETE A FILE?
Click on the file you want to delete, hit the 'delete' key on your keyboard. Or right-click on the file, and select 'Cut'.


IF I DELETE A FILE FROM THE FTP CAN IT BE RECOVERED?
No, unfortunately once a file has been deleted from the FTP server, it is gone. Please be carful when deleting, and always back up files.


HOW DO I MOVE A FILE FROM ONE FOLDER TO ANOTHER?
Locate the file you want to move, and Copy or Drag it to your desktop or folder on your computer hard drive.  Once the file or Files are downloaded, you can re-upload them to their new location. When you are sure the file has been re-uploaded, delete it from its original location.  Note: If you have several files that need to be relocated at once, contact Giovanni Tassone Architect Inc.


I'VE ADDED, MOVED, RENAMED OR DELETED FILES, BUT MY CHANGES ARE NOT REFLECTED ON THE FTP, WHY?
Hit "F5" on your keyboard to refresh the window. The changes you made should now be shown. If not please contact Giovanni Tassone Architect Inc.


IS THERE A WAY TO RECOVER MY USER NAME OR PASSWORD IF LOST?
Contact Giovanni Tassone Architect Inc. and we will supply you with a user name and password.


MY SYSTEM DEFAULTS TO ONE SPECIFIC FOLDER, HOW DO I ACCESS OTHER PROJECTS?
If you have saved your user name and password you will not be able to access other projects. Please clear your saved passwords from your browser, close the window and login again. Please note: For security purposes, it is recommended that you do not allow your browser to save your password.


HOW DO I DELETE A SAVED PASSWORD?
Log into the FTP site as usual (Using the saved Password). Once logged in, right click within the browser window and select "Login As...". The system should prompt you to enter a new User Name and Password. Enter the information for the FTP you would like to access, then UNCHECK the box labelled "Save Password".


CAN I ACCESS THE FTP FROM A WEB BROWSER SUCH AS INTERNET EXPLORER, MOZILLA FIREFOX OR GOOGLE CHROME?
Yes, you can access the new FTP server from anywhere using a web browser. Simply enter ftp.giovannitassonearchitectinc.ca in the address bar, and you will be prompted for your user name and password.
PLEASE NOTE: You will not be able to upload files using a web browser, this option is for viewing and downloading files only.

CAN I ACCESS THE FTP FROM A MAC?
Yes, From your Mac desktop hit Command+K to pull up the “Connect to Server” window (alternatively, you can access this from the “Go” menu) Enter the address of the ftp server in the following format: ftp://ftp.giovannitassonearchitectinc.ca
If you want to add a bookmark to ‘Favorite Servers’ for repeated connections, click on the + icon next to the “Server Address” field
Click on “Connect” and wait to connect to the remote server
Enter your username and password and click on “Connect” again
