Giovanni A. Tassone Architect Inc. was the prime consultant for the facility. The programme or major components of the project involved the coordination of re-melting furnaces, casting pits and cranes (equipment value of $ 70 million) for the purpose of recycling and processing post consumer aluminum into high grade aluminum billets for new applications. Our office worked closely with the owner and equipment suppliers from many countries to achieve an efficient compact layout. The Site Plan Approval process, Building Code Review, and coordination with the Fire Department at the City of Brampton were very important as it related to the sensitive and complicated process of aluminum re-melting.
